Teaching & Learning Gatehouse Inspection Report

We are delighted that you are considering Discovery Bay International School for your child's education in Hong Kong.

DBIS is one of the longest established international schools in Hong Kong, with almost 40 years supporting our community. More than a school, DBIS is an integral part of daily life in Discovery Bay.

Students from over 50 nationalities bring a truly international flair to DBIS while enjoying an outstanding international curriculum based on standards and practices of the National Curriculum of England. We are CIS accredited and regulated by the UK's leading educational authorities.

Our Early Years campus, for children aged three to five, includes our Forest and Beach schools, dedicated and specifically designed to stimulate young minds and introduce them to education in a fun, safe, nurturing and rewarding environment.

Our Primary School's inquiry-based approach to learning focuses on the holistic development of each child, ensuring that students get every opportunity to pursue their strengths and interests and develop their curiosity, independence, confidence and resilience when meeting new challenges.

At our Secondary School, students are afforded a curated range of subjects selected from UK GSCEs and International GCSEs as well as vocational BTEC courses. International A Level and BTEC options are offered at our dedicated Sixth Form campus, located at Discovery Bay North Plaza.

Firmly believing that the strengths and uniqueness of all children should be championed and celebrated, we endeavour to positively support all applications to the school, provided that we can successfully meet each child's educational needs and that they will be able to thrive within the expectations of day-to-day school life.

Our admissions team is here to guide you through the process. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming your family into our community.
