Year 10 Newsletter

Secondary Year 10

The Year 10 students have made an absolutely superb start to the academic year, with a great deal of enthusiasm and determination evident both inside and outside the classroom.

In particular the new students to Year 10, Daniel Haggarty and Benjamin Chase, have settled in very quickly and it has been a pleasure to welcome them to Discovery Bay International School.

ECA registrations have now taken place and I would encourage all students to participate in several activities to broaden their perspectives and enhance personal well being.  In relation to this, Year 10 students have been given the opportunity to sign up for the Award for Young People program (Bronze Level), with applications closing on Friday. Application forms are still available from S1-9 until the end of the week.

At the outset of the year the tutors have emphasised the importance of our Year 10 students taking responsibility for their studies and personal organisation. I have been nothing but impressed by the Year 10 cohort in their maturity and approach thus far, and am very much looking forward to reporting on their achievements throughout the term.

Kind regards
