What's Been Happening in Year 1

Primary Year 1

Wow what a year we’ve had in Year 1!

The year has flown by and the year 1 children have spent the week reflecting on their year. They’ve been discussing with their friends, what they’ve learnt and their highlights of the year. Many memories have been shared including Year 1 and 2 sports day, our trip to the Siena Park, The Year 1 Show, watching ‘The tiger who came to tea’ and so many more. No doubt you’ve heard some of these memories being shared at home.

Last week all primary children were apart of our transition morning, whereby they met their new teacher and new class peers for next year. The Year 1 children had a terrific morning and returned very excited about their new class.

We hope you all enjoyed the Art Exhibition last Thursday. The year 1 children were extremely proud of their artwork which was displayed around the school. It was lovely to see so many faces from Year 1 enjoying the exhibition and showing off their proud work.

The Year 1 team would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this year. It has been a wonderful year. We wish you all a great summer and we look forward to seeing your faces on the playground next year.
