Year 7 Newsletter
Welcome back to Term 3, we hope that you and your family have all enjoyed a restful and relaxing Easter break.
We have a very exciting final term ahead with many opportunities for growth for our students.
Recently, our students have been working on recognising and understanding Character Strengths with all students completing the VIA Character Strengths Survey. We are focusing on this area to improve student self confidence and esteem. The focus on character strengths has been proven to enhance resilience and performance. We hope parents can help by discussing this area with their child(ren) so that we can all build on this valuable piece of wellbeing education together.
As always we have a busy term ahead with many extra curricular opportunities and vast array of exciting in class projects and topics to cover. For example, the week beginning May 8th will see a focus on Digital Citizenship and towards the end of term we will be celebrating Arts Week. These two opportunities are a small sample of the many that will be available this term to expand awareness and provide avenues for expression.
This term is sure to be both highly productive and rewarding. As always, we are grateful as school to have the parent community working with us and offering support to the children throughout the term.
