What's Been Happening in Year 3
Our current unit of enquiry – Significant People has provided the students with so many valuable opportunities to find out about people who have made a difference to our world.
The students have really connected to our concepts of significance, perspective and cause and effect through their learning. The modelled enquiry on Sir Ernest Shackleton provided the students with the opportunity to develop some key enquiry skills such as research, thinking, collaboration and communication. They are now putting this learning into practice with their own personalised enquiry on a significant person of their choice. The unit will finish next week with some exciting artwork that will be delivered through the concepts and will be explored through several significant artists.
Our students have been going deeper with their learning and understanding of written methods for the four number operations. They have been working on problem solving skills too and applying strategies they have learnt.
