Discovery Bay International School (DBIS) is a very special international community school.

Situated in the heart of the wonderful community of Discovery Bay, the students enjoy a distinctive learning journey that begins in Early Years progresses to Primary and culminates in the Secondary Section. The DBIS student experience is characterised by a highly personalised learning environment, small class sizes, creative approaches to teaching and learning, and a broad range of extracurricular activities. Currently there are over 1000 students at the school.

IT Software Support Technician

IT Software Support Technician

Discovery Bay International School is seeking to appoint a Software Support Technician to work in the IT department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of the School’s Management Information System (iSAMS);
  • Create and maintain SSRS reports, Visual Studio forms and SQL scripts for iSAMS;
  • Maintain and configure the web-based Virtual Learning Platform (Moodle);
  • Assist with the management of the School’s Google Apps for Education account;
  • Set-up and coordinate student assessments through various external systems such as CEM and Testwise;
  • Maintain and develop forms through Jotform;
  • Assist with day to day trouble-shooting of simple technical issues;
  • Write user guides and support professional development training sessions;
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required by management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder in Information Technology or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience;
  • A good understanding of web-based data systems; 
  • Working knowledge of SSRS report builder, Visual Studio ( C# or Visual Basic), PHP and SQL an advantage;
  • Experience in Google Apps for Education or Business an advantage;
  • Proficiency in MS Office;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and able to work under pressure;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.

We offer a 5-day working week from 8am to 4pm, Public Holidays, a transportation pass and medical and dental benefits.
